The Pediatric Bipolar Magnetic Awareness Ribbon was designed with input from a group of mothers whose children suffer with bipolar disorder. BPChildren is proud to make this magnetic awareness ribbon available to those who visit our website. Each ribbon represents a donation made to support organizations for childhood bipolar disorder. The Colors: Orange and blue were chosen because they are on opposite ends of the color wheel, thus, representing the opposite ends of bipolar disorder. Orange for mania and blue for depression. The fade represents the range of bipolar moods. The Symbol: The scale represents balance in mood, treatment, education, and awareness. The scale is a good representation for this as it is so fragile. It is easily thrown off balance, just as our children's stability is fragile. The key to stability for our kids is stable mood, stable and balanced treatment, balanced education for the public, and awareness. The Saying: "Unlocking Stability" represents our goal. Through awareness and education of the public, mental health professionals, education professionals, medical professionals, etc. we will be unlocking stability for our children.
